Coordination is the product
The hard part of rescue work is not storing records, it is matching a case to whichever volunteer is actually available. The platform is built around that match rather than around a database of animals.

Cases outlive volunteers
Volunteers rotate. Case tracking keeps the history on the case, so handover does not mean re-explaining a situation from the beginning.

Built for a non-profit budget
A conventional stack on modest infrastructure, chosen because the organisation has to be able to run and pay for it long after the build.
